In this post, I’m going to tell you exactly why you should start an mlm blog. Hence, the freakin’ title.
I started blogging in October of 2015. I was in a mostly offline network marketing company where the premise of the business was to share the products by simply sparking interest.
“Have you ever heard of Nerium?” Then continue the conversation with the end goal of setting up a date where they could test the product for 5 days.
I have seen the amazing success people have been getting using this anti aging cream, and I wanted “in.”
There was only one problem- I’m kind of introverted so consequently it felt strange approaching my warm market (friends and family) and cold market (the cute bartender serving me drinks).
Although I knew it was important to kick my comfort zone in the face, It still didn’t feel right.
Just like any desperate mlm person looking for tips and advice, I turned to good ol’ Google to see how I could start building value
I came across a slue of websites and blogs telling me how to take my offline mlm business an online mlm.
Some of these bloggers were actually doing review posts for other mlm companies, and saying things along the lines of, “even though xyz company is good, you won’t make as much money with my mlm company.” and BAM- affiliate link. Genius.
Why You Should Start An MLM Blog.
Let’s say you’re in “It Works.” You love the products. You love the compensation plan. You love everything about the company.
What I, or any other experienced blogger would tell you is to write a post about “It works wrap review,” or whichever product you want to write about.
Actually, right now… go on Google and search “It Works wrap review” and take a look at the first page rankings.
There’s a few bloggers who have nothing to do with It Works, but they’re writing about the product and their posts are on the first page.
They’re getting laser targeted traffic from people who are looking for more information on the products and opportunity! Wouldn’t you want a slice of that hot sexy pie?
Anyway, just like them…
You would want that post to rank on the first page of Google because people are actually searching for that.
You could totally achieve that if you started an mlm blog.
When visitors land on your blog they will have the option of buying your products and potentially joining your team.
You could write a serious of “it works” products posts and also OTHER direct sales companies that you have been part of, or even know about. I don’t recommend bashing the other companies, but it’s a good way to express your opinions about them and also getting more eyeballs to your site.
The more blog posts and keywords you rank, the more traffic you can get to your blog.
No one has to know who you are.
No one has to call you on the phone.
They just have to find you online.
And you’ll do that by writing engaging posts about your products and opportunity.
…..and by using a blogging platform that ranks on the search engines, like this one.
You’re probably saying, “but I’m not good writer!”
Cut the shitty attitude! You don’t have to be a word smith like Brad Campbell, but you might want to get your ideas across simply like a Dan Brown or the author of 50 Shades of Grey.
Not to bash on them, but their books are said to be easy to read. I personally loved DaVinci Code and Inferno.
Hell, I’m not the greatest writer, but I do it anyway because it feels good to spill out my thoughts and ideas and it feels good to put some content together that could benefit other people.
Where Do I Start? Is There A Learning Curve?
You have two options when it comes to starting a network marketing blog.
1). Take the long road where you have to learn about wordpress, hosting, getting a domain (robertyoungblog.com), and how to insert video, images, and all kinds of weird techy crap that takes a long time to figure out.
2). You can take the shortcut and get a blogging platform that is favored by Google and has onsite training to get your blog ranking on the first page of Google.
Seems like a no brainer, right?
