Looking for network marketing advice for beginners? Then look no more Bro. This super rad post is just for you. Entering the world of network marketing is bit of an emotional and intellectual rollar coaster. When it comes down to it, you’re either in a traditional mlm business or an online network marketing business. By the way, mlm and network marketing are essentially the same thing. (Mlm means multi level marketing). You can sell a product and the opportunity. When it comes down to it, selling the opportunity is more profitable. The goal in network marketing all together is to a build a team of brand partners and customers and teach your brand partners how to expand their business too, in a duplicate-able way. I’ll get more into that later throughout this post. So without further ado, let’s get into some mlm tips for newbies.
1. Network Marketing Advice For Beginners – Stick to your Core Commitments
Every reputable mlm company has some form of core commitments.
These are essential guidelines for your success in the business.
Usually they range from doing at least ten minutes of self development each day, share your product or opportunity with at least 3 people each day, take consistent action every day and reach out if you have questions, spread the word through social media, text, or phone calls.
Make sure you stick to the basics and to not over complicate the process!
Some times it’s easy to get a little confused and irritated because your business isn’t going to way you want it to.
Make sure you go back to your core commitments and give your up line a phone call.
2. You Have To Be All In
By all in, I mean you have to be fully invested in the company psychologically and financially to get the results you want.
Don’t half ass it!
If you’re treating the business like a hobby, then it probably won’t perpetuate.
This is a business!
Even if your start up costs are less than $1000, you gotta shift your mind set and tell yourself, “I LOVE this business and every one needs to hear about this opportunity!”
If you’re not fully committed, then the industry or the company you’re currently in isn’t for you.
Sometimes you are not able to try all the products because some of these companies have many!
Start out with 2 or 3 and take it from there.
Does your company have weekly calls? Be on them! It’s crucial to plugged into the system.
Stick to the basics and have fun with it.
3. Fine Tune Your Social Media Presence And Reach Out
Take a look at your Facebook page. Take a look at your profile picture, gander, at your “about me,” and also look and see what all you’re posting.
This is huge because you want to look professional, approachable and trustworthy.
Make your Facebook profile a good close up of your face with a huge beautiful smile.
Are you posting about lame boring drama, or are you writing inspirational posts that could possibly help other people?
Network marketing is all about helping other people get what they want out of life.
Isn’t that what your sponsor is doing?
Try avoiding political opinions and basically anything negative. Remember, people are attracted to confidence and positivism!
Network Marketing Advice For Beginners – Be that person!
Also, reach out to other people who are in network marketing companies.
You can you use the search bar and search for “people who like Amway” or “people who work at Amway” or “people who work at self employed.”
It’s good to reach out to these people so you can discuss business ideas and talk about your opportunities.
Make sure to not message these people and say something stupid like, “Hey Amanda, I see that you’re in It Works. You should check out my business it’s awesome and the comp plan is amazing blah blah.”
That would throw people off. Wouldn’t that throw you off, too?
Instead say something like, “Hey George I’m reaching out to you because I see you’re involved with Empower Network. I’ve heard good things about it! How’s it going for you?”
Build real relationships with people and post often on your wall about your success in your business.
You never know who is reading everything you post, and you never know when some one isn’t thrilled with their current business opp.
They could possibly want to join yours. In short, be excellent, charming, and down to earth! We’re all humans after all!
4. Get A Blog
My upline gave me so much shit for having a blog because it wasn’t part of their core commitments. It’s understandable when it comes to network marketing advice for beginners.
Many of them don’t have technical skills like that, but I know how to make a website and write up some content.
Years ago, I went to Google and started searching for ways to make extra money, and before I knew it I was landing on various blogs and websites owned by high earning network marketers.
I ended up joining one of them with out even talking to them on their phone because their brand partner link was in the blog.
This should be ringing all kinds of bells in your head right now.
Think about it…
They wrote some content on their blog about the subject, “example mlm product review.” I found it on Google.
After that post I was reading other posts on his blog and found that he was surely professional because all the value I got out of. Before you know it I joined haha.
Imagine if you too had a blog where you were writing posts about your company’s products, opportunity, and benefits.
The guy I signed up under could have been watching a movie or taking out the trash when I joined him.
That’s called leverage and passive income. He did the work once, and now he’s seeing dividends.
If you wanna start a blog then you gotta read this post I wrote earlier. Blogging does take time and consistency and there is no get rich quick part about it.
5. Don’t Get Overwhelmed
Stepping foot in the new world of network marketing can be overwhelming.
There are copious ammounts training to go through, and you also have to put yourself out there to promote the business.
Not to mention making a list of 100 people you know and reaching out them.
Believe me, you’re going to fail a few times, but only the strong persevere and try it again and reach new people and tweak their approach. If you get to the point where you’re thinking about quitting, think about the reason you joined in the first place.
MLm is frusterating and confounding. That’s why its NOT for everyone.
Most people like being an employee, which is totally fine. But don’t forget that you wanted to join because you don’t like being told what to do or told when you can take a day off.
You joined this industry just like I did. To build a lifestyle of your wildest imagination.
What is it that you truly want? To travel? Not worry about bills? Party money? Kids? Family?
Your why should be the largest part of your core. Don’t ever sell yourself short and don’t let any family members or friends tell you otherwise… which brings me to my next point.
6. Friends and Family Will Make Fun And Question You, At First
One of my biggest network marketing advice for beginners I can give is to not let your friends and family bring you down with your new venture.
“what is that? some sort of pyramid scheme? psh thanks but no thanks.”
The biggest mistake you can make in this business is talking too much. Less is more. Sparking interest is king.
When I first joined Nerium I word-vomited all over every one.
“Oh my God nerium is the best thing since pockets! Not only is at a revolutionary anti aging cream that’s sweeping the nation, you can earn big bucks from it blah blah blah.” Whoops. I think I might have metaphorically barfed on YOU. My bad = ).
This can turn people off big time. you’re giving away too much information at once and you look like a psycho.
Instead you could say something along the lines of this….
[ This is for in person for an offline mlm company].
You- “I just started a new business and its booming in [your town].
Person- “Oh yeah what is it?”
You- “it’s an anti aging company. Here, let me send you some more information about it! What’s your email and phone number?
The less you say, the better when you’re starting out.
That’s difficult to do because it seems counter intuitive.
When people learn something brand new they want to spread their knowledge everywhere.
The same goes for newbies. Less is better at first, then expand as you introduce your third party tools or, company videos and business and product introductions.
I hope these mlm tips helped you out and you gained some value out of it!
